This page contains non-scientific, personal information about some of my hobbies: Reading, watching movies and making music.
links to movie-related events
- "Movie nite". A film viewing initiative by Joel Reithler, Francesco Gentile and I. In this initiative we meet to view and discuss films, which are selected according to particular topics. With each topic we watch 3 films (each of us selects one, and introduces the selected film). Often, the meetings encompass additional events, such as a dinner at home or out - sometimes in light of the current topic or film, or review of the book on which the film is based.
- Verfilmde Waan. The film project that aims to increase awareness and understanding of (dealing with) psychotic episodes in adolescents. In cooperation with people from Mondriaan Stichting Vijverdal and Maastricht University, and Jorg Dautzenberg.

Vocal Group Odeon
Scene of Odeonatic, 2013
I am a member of Vocal Group Odeon (Odeon, for short) in Maastricht. Odeon is a versatily, 6-voice a cappella choir. I sing as baritone and high-bass. My first contribution to a large-scale performance with Odeon was in 2010 with the show Jodelodelodeon - Odeon's hommage and own unique portayal of The Sound of Music.
In 2011 Odeon collaborated with stage director Sybrand van der Werf in the play called LICHT, which portrayed the history and contemporary experience of St. Gerlach during the celebration of Maastricht's Heligdomsvaart.
In 2013 Odeon staged the very successfull show Odeonatic - a tongue-in-cheek reference to the roaring 50s, with a nudge-and-wink to Monty Python's Flying Circus.
